Sometimes I feel disembodied, as if I am floating in the air around me, as if the lines of my fingers or arms or face are friendly suggestions instead of barriers. As if when God was drawing my soul he colored outside the lines.

(This is so true. You don’t HAVE to be okay right now. It’s okay to not be okay. And it isn’t that you won’t die or that you are invincible. Just that you are strong and you have hope, even if it’s so deep down you can’t even tell. ~v)

"I think maybe hugging you is what I want to say."

Dean (in John-Green fashion)

I am so future-oriented, even the present is a memory.

I saw this thing on facebook that said “Can the Declaration of Independence get more FANS than Obama?” And it struck me. Why do we have to add that competitive bit? Because we know that unless opposed against an enemy, we aren’t actually that strong. Unless it is competing against something else, perhaps we don’t really value it all that much. Is our Declaration just a piece of paper to us unless we pit it against a president? Unless we express disapproval alongside patriotism? Is it not enough to us to value something- do we also have to disparage something else in order to promote what’s important to us? Just a thought.

You don’t so much have to remember as you have to remember TO remember. But if you do that it helps you know.

"Just remember that sometimes, the way you think about a person isn’t the way they actually are."
